Construction has started for a 400,000tpa stainless steel slab-casting project by Hennan Qingshan Jinhui Stainless Steel Co. on 10 June 2008. CNY 1 billion will be invested in the stainless steel processing project as a fixed investment. The project is divided into three phases, the first and second phase have been completed. The investment of the third phase is about CNY 110 million. The unit is expected to be completed early next year and will produce stainless steel, carbon steel, pipeline steel and three varieties of slab with an annual output of 400,000tns. At that time, the stainless slab production capacity of Qingshan Jinhui Co. will reach 1 million tones. |
