Incorporating both the welded and steel tube markets, this comprehensive conference will offer detailed analysis of the OCTG and line-pipe markets on day one with analysis of other non-energy tube and pipe markets including: construction tube and welded and seamless precision tube for the engineering and automotive sectors on day two.
The developed world’s insatiable thirst for energy is the major catalyst of the growth in the OCTG and line-pipe markets. Increased drilling rates, new line-pipe projects and strong energy prices have guaranteed demand and the outlook remains bullish. However, Chinese exports of non-heat treated OCTG grades has dampened prices in those markets.
In the other “non-energy” steel tube and pipe markets, such as mechanical, precision and structural. Producers continue to benefit from ongoing strength in the steel markets however demand is less buoyant than in the energy markets.
